UCIT is a charitable organisation and has invested in excess of £23m in support of 169 social enterprises since 2001. For every £1 invested into UCIT over £2 (and growing) has been used to support the social economy.

Our mission has always been to assist social enterprises to become more financially viable and self-sufficient in their own right, and as a result encourage the economic development and empowerment of some of the most marginalised communities in Northern Ireland and the border regions of the Republic of Ireland.
